The scene below demonstrates examples of both Parallel and Contrapuntal. At the begining we see people playing the sound of people enjoying the beach, kids shouting and splashing. But the sound alone completely changes the mood and signals the arrival of the shark, as the sound changes to the sinister music that Jaws is renowned for it completely changes the tone without changing the visual images. Meaning you know the shark is coming without the need to show the shark.
